So many Worlds, so little time...


These notes and sketches led to developing a 3D concept in Maya, leading to the arrangement of the Worlds of Shard in the image above...

After trying to fit all the various elements into one world I eventually hit upon the idea of having the Facets, separate worlds of Shard, orbit the main 'hub' of Shard.

This process took longer than I planned but has led to design decisions that emphasise freedom of movement and a larger sense of explorable space.
